Please join us Thursday, January 31st, 2019, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., for a panel discussion of regulated cryptocurrency trading, followed by networking. Learn from industry leaders what is involved in becoming a state-, SEC- or CFTC-regulated trading platform for cryptocurrencies. The panel will also discuss the regulatory issues involved in offering crypto-based securities, derivatives, and spot trading.
The panel will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Networking will follow.
1 hour of CLE credit will be available for Illinois attorneys.
Panelists:
Juan Hernandez, Founder and CEO of Open Finance Network. OpenFinance is a blockchain-based protocol and framework for the trading, clearing, and settlement of security tokens and other alternative assets. OpenFinance is an SEC-regulated Alternative Trading System (ATS).
Ann Cresce, general counsel for BCause, a cryptocurrency ecosystem. Bcause is in the process of applying to become a CFTC-regulated exchange (a “designated contract market”). Because will offer both spot and derivatives trading in cryptocurrencies.
